The number one complaint we hear about roof rats is a scratching in your walls or running in your attic all night long.  Roof Rats head and body are about 7-8 inches with a tail that is scaly and longer than the head and body.  They have large ears and a pointed snot.  They can spread diseases to humans such as; murine typhus, lepto, salmonellosis and rate bite fever.  Rodents are constantly gnawing on wood and wire because their teeth are continually growing.  25% of unknown house fires are attributed to rodents chewing on wires.
